Dr. Andrew J. Cooper, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon in Florida and has operated in ASCs for many years. Dr. Cooper has long been on the cutting edge of surgical care and currently specializes in minimally-invasive direct anterior approach hip and knee replacements, utilizing computer navigation technology.
He is an excellent surgeon, inventor, and business leader with proven success across disciplines. He created and developed JointPoint, a hip navigation technology that offers a precise analysis of implant selection and positioning. His technology provides actionable, real-time data designed to help with increased accuracy and surgical reproducibility, reduced OR time, and improved patient outcomes. He eventually sold his invention to Depuy Synthes, a Johnson & Johnson company.
