John has built his career as a CFO guiding multi-site organizations through major financial transformations while delivering growth from organic gains, new unit development, and strategic acquisitions. He brings a strategic, business-focused approach to high-growth health care organizations and a strong collaborative mindset to the physicians partnering with Compass to develop high-performing ambulatory surgery centers.

Before joining Compass, John led financial strategy for several physician practice groups that operated in multiple healthcare disciplines including ASCs, giving him firsthand experience and insight into the opportunities and constraints providers face in today’s healthcare environment. In addition to finance, he held senior roles in corporate development and M&A across high-growth, consumer service-based businesses, developing expertise in acquisitions, operations, technology and private equity. In every role, John has paired growth with infrastructure upgrades, equipping teams to expand while running at peak performance.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, John focuses on building strong financial teams that deliver clear and timely insights, and active partnerships with operators and clinicians. His goal: elevate finance into a catalyst for growth, not merely a back-office function.

John holds an engineering degree from Texas A&M and an MBA from SMU Cox School of Business. Outside the office, he enjoys golf, mountain biking, skiing, motorsports, and time with his family and pets.
