ORLANDO, Fla., and RALEIGH, N.C. – February 20, 2024 – Compass Surgical Partners (Compass), a leading, independent, full-service ambulatory surgery center (ASC) development and management partner, today announced a new collaboration with Advanced Joint and Spine Institute Orlando (AJSI Orlando). Launching early this year by a managing team of physicians in cooperation with Compass, the facility will offer outpatient spine, total joint replacement, and other orthopedic surgeries, as well as interventional pain management procedures.
Conceived and developed by the physician group, the modern 17,584-square-foot facility at 7974 Lake Underhill Road, Suite A, in Orlando, will be one of the largest freestanding surgery centers in Florida. It will offer state-of-the-art equipment including Stryker’s® Mako™ Robotic-Arm Assisted System, which increases the predictability of the surgical experience during total hip and total knee replacements. By offering surgeries that will cost less overall and typically require lower copays than those conducted in hospital inpatient settings, the ASC will make high-quality care more affordable for patients in the Orlando region.

AJSI Orlando will seek Medicare “deemed status” accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), empowered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to confirm the compliance of ASCs.
